These terms govern your use of Kirnova. The most important parts are section 4 — what an assessment result may and may not be used for — and section 9, which sets the limits of our liability. Please read those two even if you skip the rest.

Kirnova is operated by Kirnova Systems, Nashik, Maharashtra 422222, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, taking an assessment, or using the platform in any other way, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that organisation.
If you do not agree, do not use the platform. If an employer or recruiter has asked you to take an assessment and you do not wish to accept these terms, raise it with them — we cannot assess you without your agreement.
You must be at least 18 years old. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 anyone under 18 is a child, and processing a child’s personal data requires verifiable parental consent, which we do not operate a mechanism for.
You must give accurate account details and keep them up to date, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at team@kirnova.com if you believe someone else has access to it.
Do not share an account. Assessment results are attributed to the account that produced them, and a shared account makes a result meaningless.
Kirnova’s assessments are self-report questionnaires about working style and behavioural preference. You answer statements about yourself; we score those answers and present an interpretation.
Because it is self-report, a result describes what you said about yourself on a particular day. It is affected by mood, context, how carefully you read, and how you want to be seen. We flag some of that — an unusually fast completion, or answers with too little variation to be informative — but no flag catches everything.
This section is binding on every organisation that receives a result through us.
A result may be used as one structured input among several — alongside interviews, work samples, references and role context.
A result must not be used:
We make no claim that any score predicts job performance. No assessment provider in this field — including us — has published criterion-validity evidence sufficient to support that claim, and we do not make it. Any statement to the contrary, wherever you have seen it, does not form part of these terms and should be reported to us.
Every reading in a result produced today comes from questions written for it. The assessments we serve now ask their own questions about working style and their own questions about personality, and no reading is produced by re-using another section’s answers in place of measurement. Each reading is shown with the range where it most likely sits, never as a single exact number, and a shorter assessment gives a broader reading.
Results from an earlier version of our assessment are different, and some people still hold one. The version we retired in August 2026 reported five personality indicators, and three of them — Conscientiousness, Extraversion and Agreeableness — were not measured. They were produced from the same working-style answers the behavioural section used, so they carried no measurement of their own. Those reports said so, and this clause repeats it because the results still exist and we have not recalculated them. If you hold or rely on one, do not present those three as measured traits.
Some assessments are free and some are paid for with credits. Credits are purchased in advance, are recorded against your account, and are consumed when an assessment is taken or a report is released. Unless your written agreement with us says otherwise, credits are not refundable for change of mind and have no cash value. The price shown at checkout is the total amount payable; where tax applies it is included in that price and is shown separately on your invoice.
If we have issued you API keys or embed access, you are responsible for keeping them secret and for all activity under them. You are a Data Fiduciary in your own right for the people you send through the assessment: you must have a lawful basis, give them the notice the DPDP Act requires, and make our Privacy Policy available to them. We may suspend access we reasonably believe is being used in breach of section 4 or section 5.
The platform, the question bank, the scoring methodology, the TIGER framework and the report content are ours and remain ours. Using the service does not transfer any of it to you.
Your answers and your results remain about you. We claim no ownership of the personal data you provide. We use it to operate the service as described in the Privacy Policy, and — in aggregated, de-identified form that cannot reasonably be linked back to any individual — to research and improve the instrument.
We do not promise the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paying customer has contracted for, we will give reasonable notice.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will give notice rather than relying on you noticing. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy you have that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights available to you as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: the platform is provided “as is”; we exclude implied warranties; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹10,000 if you paid us nothing.
We are not liable for a decision you make about another person using a result. If you are an organisation, the choice to interview, hire, promote or reject someone is yours, and so is responsibility for it. Section 4 sets out the limits within which a result may be used; a decision made outside those limits is yours alone, and you indemnify us against claims arising from it.
You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to erase your account — see section 7 of the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, or where we are required to by law. Sections 4, 7, 9 and 11 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Nashik, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
Before commencing proceedings, please raise the matter with us at team@kirnova.com so we have a chance to resolve it. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Questions about these terms, or anything in them you think is wrong, go to team@kirnova.com, or write to Kirnova Systems, Nashik, Maharashtra 422222, India.
